 Sacred Heart College (SHC) is an ideal institution for students to experience Belize from an insider’s perspective. In partnership with the Institute of Sustainable International Studies (ISIS), SHC offers unique courses in Maya Studies, Development Studies and Tropical Biology and Ecology. SHC also offers exciting degree programs and certificates in Natural Resource Management, Eco-Tourism, Tourism and Hospitality, International Business, among others.
Our renowned international faculty have developed unique courses which provide ample opportunity for students to engage with the community through service learning projects. Belize’s largely empty hinterland offers unique field opportunities for tropical studies, and its indigenous Maya and other distinct ethnicities beckon students of cultural studies, anthropology, and international development studies. Sacred Heart College is centrally located in San Ignacio Town, Belize’s Eco-Tourism hub. Situated on a beautiful 12 acre campus on the edge of town, Sacred Heart College is within short walking distance of a vibrant downtown where one can find all flavors of food and entertainment.
