Course Description
This course is designed to introduce biology majors to cell biology. Students will study the structure and functions of prokaryotic cells and eukaryotic cells. The course will focus on various areas including the functions of cell organelles, and the synthesis and functions of macromolecules such as DNA and RNA. Emphasis will be placed on the variability of the biochemical processes that occur in cells and how this variability results in varied cell types with varied functions.
