Computer Technician

Associate’s Degree in Computer Technician

The Computer Technician Program is a two-year program designed to equip students with technical skills in areas of PC troubleshooting, computer repair, and maintenance, and with coding skills using the current industry-wide established languages. Thus, students are well versed in hardware and software when they complete the program.

Students are exposed to local and wide area network (LAN and WAN) troubleshooting, diagnosis, monitoring and the disassembling of computer hardware for rebuilding or upgrading.  They are also instructed in C++, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL, including the development environments that are employed for editing and compiling code.  Students will also obtain critical, real world experience during their internship.

With the increasing role of technology in everyday life, completing an Associate’s Degree in the Computer Technician Program will equip students with much needed skills while allowing them to work independently or in teams.  Students with an interest in technology will find the Computer Technician Program a satisfying and rewarding choice.
