Registering for your Placement Exams

Before you start studying at SHJC, you need to sit Placement Exams in English, Mathematics and Spanish. Depending on which level you are in previous mentioned courses, you will be placed based on your results.

Based on your Placement results, you can be waived from pre-college courses. For example, if you pass the English placement test with a 70% or higher, you will be waived from Pre-College English 1 and Pre-College English 2; you will register for College English 1.

Same concept applies to Math and Spanish.

Steps that you need to take:

Step 1: Click here for Portal

Go to Placement Exam Portal and click on Log in.

Step 2:

Enter credentials.

Step 3:

Go to the Navigation section, click on My courses, and the courses are listed below.

Step 4:

When you click on any of the 3 courses listed, a page like in the image below will appear. To start the test click on Attempt quiz now.

Step 5:

After you have completed test, click on submit. If you have completed all exams, you can log off.
