Practicum/Implementation

Course Description

This Practicum/ Implementation course is designed for students to apply and also develop competencies expected of professionals working in the Information Technology field and thus illustrate their mastery of both theoretical and practical components learnt from the previous courses in the Computer Technician Program. Students take the initiative from the onset of the course to identify and assure a placement of their own in a professional field related to the Program. In addition, students work individually and collaboratively at the selected organizations in order to  focus on the skills needed to demonstrate professionalism and respect when working with colleagues. Students are assessed by both the lecturer and the onsite supervisor of the organization to ensure excellence of standards are met.
