Course Description:
This course introduces students to some of the concepts, methodologies, tools and techniques to analyse, design, and develop well-structured applications using current database models. This solid base of knowledge enables the student to use the information as a foundation for learning new models as they evolve. Students will engage in learning about schema design, data modeling, query language, building database applications, and many other topics. Through lectures, sections, and assignments, students will learn about and understand how real-world data management systems work, and how they touch upon many aspects of our daily lives.
