The associate degree in natural resource management is designed to prepare students for a variety of careers in the management and protection of Belize’s natural resources. The program focuses on seven areas: biology, chemistry, waste management, terrestrial management, marine ecosystems, Belizean environmental law and polices and field biology. The courses are offered through a balance of classroom time, and outdoor learning activities. Graduates will know Belizean environmental law and procedures, best conservation practices and the effective management of Belize’s ecosystems. Graduates may also gain employment with private land managers, NGOs, and governmental agencies engaged with the development and stewardship of our natural resources.
