Course Description

This is a professional core course designed to introduce students to the diversity of life on planet earth as well as its evolutionary origins. This course is an in-depth 4 credit hour course and is purely theoretical. The course will focus on particular organisms from various biological kingdoms making references to their evolutionary origin, anatomy, developmental patterns, levels of organization, nutritional methods as well as how they adapt to their respective environments.
