ENGL1104 is a general education reading and writing intensive course. It is designed to further develop students’ communicative awareness and abilities in the persuasive, expository and research writing process by building on the writing and critical thinking strategies learned in ENGL1004. ENGL1104 seeks to enhance students’ mastery of the conventions of standard English and manuscript presentation by requiring students to practice basic research concepts and techniques to develop expository and persuasive essays and a final research paper.
