Course Description:
Macroeconomics is a first-year, 2nd semester, 3-credit course for students pursuing the Associates in Business and Associates in Accounting programs. The course explores how economies work and the factors that impact the overall performance of the macroeconomy. Students will compute and interpret aggregate measures of performance such as national income, production, and expenditure (GDP), economic growth, unemployment, inflation, economic development, monetary and fiscal policy, the banking system, aggregate demand and supply, and the government’s influence on the macroeconomy.
