Course Description
This course provides an introduction to basic science concepts designed to enhance student teachers’ content knowledge of the National Primary School Science Curriculum. Its main aim is to provide teachers with an understanding of the fundamental and unifying science principles in the physical, chemical and life process aspect of science. These concepts will equip them with the necessary tools to take back to the classroom and teach science. The course begins by demonstrating an understanding of the scientific process as a means of facilitating how children learn science. Furthermore, it continues by entering broader aspects of science, such as; the universe and the dynamics of Earth, living organisms, life processes, General chemistry and Energy.
