Course Description
TOUR2101 introduces students to information and activities which will help develop the necessary skills and attitude to provide quality service in the tourism industry. Students engage in various activities which may include, but not limited, to human relations, office etiquette, communication process, front desk operations, and dining room procedures. The course focuses on waiting practices and procedures, housekeeping standards and procedures, and bartending standards. This course is designed to provide practical experience in the skills needed to obtain and thrive in these positions. The course is a wonderful opportunity to come closer to the frontline of the tourism spectrum and become a part of the first line of people who make tourism in Belize memorable. It includes a wide range of topics, including social skills & customer care.
