Course Description
Terrestrial Management Issues is a professional course for Natural Resource Management majors that explores general principles of terrestrial ecology, and land use management. This course investigates land use impacts associated with agriculture, aquaculture, urbanization, forestry, tourism, and industrial development. Ecological impacts, mitigation, and challenges of deforestation, erosion, and habitat degradation are discussed. The course also surveys stewardship and sustainable development as means of mitigating some current environmental issues.
